Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance or health insurance?

We operate as out-of-network providers, allowing us to focus on providing quality mental health support without the necessity of a diagnosis. We do not directly accept insurance, but we offer two flexible alternatives to suit your needs.

  • Upon request, we can provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) for submission to your insurance company, enabling you to seek reimbursement independently.
  • Alternatively, we provide sessions at a rate equivalent to your specialist co-payment plus an additional $10, ensuring simplicity and accessibility while avoiding the complexities associated with insurance processes. This option has a minimum price of $30.

These choices are designed to accommodate your preferences and streamline the financial aspect of your therapeutic journey. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to discuss your specific needs with us.

How does confidentiality work?

What you discuss with us in session is confidential but there are some exceptions required by law. The exceptions are: If you could be a danger to yourself or others; in case of any medical emergencies; when there is reasonable suspicion of abuse/neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult; or if we are summoned by a judge.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show up for a scheduled appointment, the charge for the session will be a penalty of 100% of your regular rate.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, healthcare providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of psychotherapy services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
